Jessi and I joined the family for a snorkel/swim at 9:00 down at the beach near our Condo. Our unit is further back in the complex so the walk takes 10 minutes instead of the usual 5! LOL. The water was wavey and silty but we still saw some fish. I think we saw some butterfly fish, unicorn fish, needle fish, picaso triggerfish (known as humuhumunukunukuapua'a in Hawaiian) and... a GIANT green sea turtle! I was on my way out of the water when it swam within an armspan of me! It was in that close to shore to eat all the seaweed that had been washed in by the waves. Amazing!
In the afternoon, Jessi and I discouvered a health food store which carried many of our favourate brands about a 20 minute walk from our condo. We are very pleased to be able to get some of the food we are used to while we're out here. We also grabbed a shave ice from our traditional shave ice stand. Actually, they've upgraded and have a little booth now! Guess that shows you how good it is! I tried a Cherry Cola/Rootbeer shave ice and it was excellent! :)
Nathan and Amanda are here now so that just leaves Jeff and Laura (who arrive tomorrow) to complete the family!
